Permanent HR & Training position in Preston
Pay: £16,000/year
About the Vacancy
An excellent opportunity has arisen with a local company in Preston for a HR and Payroll Assistant to join their successful organisation. The role will take prime responsibility for the administration of various weekly and monthly payrolls as well as utilising their payroll experience in the mentoring and training of new team members.
General duties will include:
* Calculation of hour and overtime for weekly and month employees
* Recording holidays and absence including payment of SSP/SMP/SPP administration
* Completion of Inland Revenue documentation, including P11d preparation and end of year P60's
In addition you will also assist in various HR projects including the development of staff handbooks; contracts of employment and policies and procedures.
Suitable applicants will have a solid background of payroll including proven experience of year end preparation and knowledge of HR would be a distinct advantage. Also you will possess excellent excel spreadsheet skills as you will be required to manipulate information on a daily basis.
