We are looking for an experienced Design Engineer to join a company that specialises in building services for the public sector as well as large plc's.  This role is not simply a design role; it involves full project management from the initial requirement right through to installation. As such requires a strong designer who also has good customer service skills and the ability to oversee full projects.

The successful applicant will be on occasion visiting customers on-site, in order to effectively plan the systems in regards to all areas including design and installation. You will then return to the office and design the system from concept to final product.

Your duties and responsibilities will include;

Designing mechanical systems

Arranging with suppliers what materials are required for the project

Quoting the customer on the costs involved

Arranging sub contractor labour for the installation of the sprinkler systems

Visiting site to oversee the project and ensure that it is running to budget and on time.

Efficient product development

We are looking for a candidate with experience of designing sprinkler systems or with a background in capital equipment or mechanical or Electrical, Construction related design. The salary on offer is £30,000 to a candidate with a proven career history.
