We are looking for an experienced Design orientated, project Engineer to work for a company who are involved in projects for a variety of organisations including the ministry of defence, International airports and a variety of general commercial entities across all industry sectors. Due to an influx of new contracts an additional person is required to handle projects from specification stage.

The successful candidate will offer a strong academic background as well as experience in Autocad based design within mechanical or Structural engineering.

The Engineer will potentially handle contracts that are worth up to £9 million. You will receive a brief and notification of the customer requirements and then be responsible for that contract from that point. Support is available and you will meet with technical staff, such as Architects and engineers to gain enough information to interpret their individual needs. You will then produce arrangements, drawings and handle all on- going communication with the customer.

It is essential that applicants have a high proficiency in Autocad design but also have knowledge of structural detailing (ideally within steel) backed by a proven work history in a similar capacity.

This is varied and interesting work, with each contract requiring different tailored solutions. Applicants with enquiring minds, looking for a long term career option are open to receiving a salary of up to £30,000 commensurate with experience and office based hours
