We are working with a well established engineering organisation that trades globally to recruit a production planner.

You will be working from a fast paced manufacturing facility orientated towards high quality precision batch production and assembly. Reporting to the Production Manager this is a pivotal role involving the correlation of purchasing, manufacturing, sub contract operations and assembly functions of the business.

Your key tasks will be controlling the demand for in-house manufactured parts, including taking responsibility for implementing the recommendations from the demand based production control system.  Other duties will involve; works order processing, capacity planning, machine loading, addressing/communicating constraints and forecasting to aid the smooth flow and on time delivery of a demanding schedule.

To be considered you will have an engineering or similar technical manufacturing background. You will have previous experience within production engineering or planning and will be familiar with MRP.
