A large plc with an outstanding customer base are developing their finance team by recruiting an Assistant to the Finance Director. The company are looking for an AAT qualified individual who may or may not be looking to continue with their studies. The role will involve assisting the Finance Director with all the monthly and yearly duties and in time give a talented accountant the opportunity to run a lot of the financial function of this large organisation.

 As well as being qualified to AAT level; the successful candidate will have a strong understanding of double entry bookkeeping, be able to produce monthly management accounts in their entirety and also produce flash reports to the Group head office when required.

 Although a level of experience and qualification are required this is ideal opportunity to learn and develop fairly quickly within the Group. Future prospects are extremely good because the FD is planning on retiring within the next five years and the obvious replacement would be the person occupying this role.

 A study package can be negotiated and although this organisation is happy to encourage study, it is by no means a pre-requisite for the job.  The salary will be very much dependant on experience but should reasonably be expected to fall within £18k and £23k.
