Our niche client who exports worldwide requires a buyer to work within a small purchasing function.

This is a development role which will initially involve liaising with multinational suppliers to conduct order placement, chasing and sourcing, with a view to quickly move into material planning and strategy.

On a day to day basis you will be maintaining the bespoke MRP system, placing orders based on the MRP system output. You will also have to produce and chase up lists of suppliers requiring payment, how much to pay, account status etc and report on delivery dates.

The purchasing spend each year is approx 2 million but that is spread over 8000 lines and 250+ vendors, so this is a very diverse and busy role!!
