Our client is very well known within its industry sector and is a leading player in the parcel and business post market. They currently require a Transport Supervisor to manage 20 drivers on a shift basis.

You will be responsible for the day to day running of the transport function within your shift and ensure the efficient delivery to sites covering the South Manchester area.

Your exceptional leadership skills and unwavering focus on service KPI's and results will ensure the smooth running of the transport operation.

The role involves route planning on a multi drop basis, and responsibility for any customer enquiries. You will also ensure that the drivers are able to fulfil their job and if they have any issues take responsibility for them.

This role requires proven managerial ability (not necessarily in a formal management role), experience in a multi-drop environment and experience within a business post/parcel distribution environment.

Shifts consist of early start day shifts Monday to Friday and some Saturdays.
